Today we woke up at 6 am :) and ate our breakfast and packed a yummy lunch. Then we headed the Washington DC legal clinic for the homeless. When we were there we learned a lot about the characteristics of people who are homeless in DC. It was very informative and some of the statistics were very shocking for example, only 25% of people who are homeless are mentally ill. After that we headed to Rachael's Womens Center but we weren't able to stay and volunteer because they had a plumbing issue :( from there we ate our lunches in a lovely park in the sunshine . Lastly we visited The Holocaust Museum, which was absolutely amazing and had a HUGE impact on me. Especially the part in the exhibition when we walked inside a cart that transported Jews to concentration camps . I will never forget about this trip, the places we are getting to see and the amazing things we are learning!
