Hey everyone,

Just a quick update from Guatemala. Today is day four of this awsome adventure. They are working us hard. On Sunday, we learned about the entire coffee making process. There is so much work that goes into that single cup of coffee. That morning cup of coffee takes about a week to produce. On Monday, we made an entire talapia pond. Be very thankful for all the power tools and machinery that we have there in America. We had to first dig the entire hole, they after mixing the concrete by hand, we had to fill build up the concrete walls. Today we worked with another farmer. We hoed the weeds around a coffee farm. Might seem easy but I assure you that it is not. We will be the most ripped people by the time this trip is over. That is all that we have done so far, but there will be more fun, hard work tomorrow.

Here are some fun facts about what we have done and learned so far....

  • If you sing while you work, it makes the work go so much faster.
  • The food down here is AMAZING!
  • It dosen´t matter if you know the person, they all say Hi.
  • There are song lyrics to go into every situation.
  • The farmers are some of the hardest workers you will ever meet.
  • Homemade peanut butter is spectacular!
On a side note, just a take of what I think so far. This experience is so amazing. I never imagined that I would learn so much is such a short period of time. The culture down here is amazing. I would never have imagined that it would be so different than what it is in America. The values that they have are opposite of what we have in America.

More to come, and remember,
Family time is precious time!

AdiĆ³s!
